It’s time to renew your health insurance

• Covered California will automatically re-enroll you and members of your household into your current health coverage with Sharp Health Plan for 2025 as long as you remain eligible and your plan is still available for 2025.
  
  If you’re happy with your current health coverage, no action is required.
  
  To make changes to your coverage for 2025, keep the following dates in mind:

  Feb. 1, 2025	Jan. 31, 2025

• You’ll continue to receive your monthly bill from Sharp Health Plan. Please pay your premium (monthly cost) directly to Sharp Health Plan by the due date. Please do not send your payment to Covered California.
  

  ⚠️ Are you using auto pay for your premium payments?

  Step 1: Create a new online account and set up automatic payments.

  1. Create or log in to your Sharp Health Plan online account.
  2. Go to the “Premium billing” page and select “Set up autopay.”
  3. Choose the day of the month you would like your payments to be processed. We accept days between the 1st and the 25th.
  4. Choose or add a payment method.

  Step 2: Cancel recurring payments in the old payment portal.

  Log in to the payment portal and cancel any recurring payments to avoid overpaying.
  
  
  1. Go to the “Automatic payments” page and select “Manage autopay.”
  2. Select the trash icon to cancel your automatic payments.

I’m receiving premium assistance for my health coverage this year.

Update your information with Covered California to ensure you get the maximum premium assistance that you qualify for. The premium assistance you receive in 2025 could be different based on changes in your household size, income and the health coverage rates in your area.

A heads-up for tax season

If you received premium assistance in 2024, you’ll need to file IRS Form 8962 along with your federal tax return. During tax season, Covered California will send you the information you need to file the form correctly.

I’m not receiving premium assistance for my health coverage this year.

Use Covered California's Shop and Compare tool, available beginning Nov. 1, to see if you qualify for premium assistance. Even if you were not eligible for premium assistance in the past, you may be eligible to lower your monthly premium.

What if I want to change my health coverage for 2025?

If you’d like to change your health coverage for 2025, you can:

• Make a change to your existing plan through your Covered California account.
• Review other options with Sharp Health Plan by using Covered California's shop and compare tool, available beginning Nov. 1.
• Contact the Covered California Service Center at 1-800-300-1506 (TTY: 888-889-4500).
• Contact your agent for help, or get free help from one of Covered California’s certified enrollment counselors.
